Meet the Team

Peter is an HR Director with specialist skills in organizational change, people strategy, learning and leadership development. He has held a number of senior HR and Non Executive Director roles in a range of multinational organizations undergoing significant change. These include: The Royal Mail Group; BAE SYSTEMS; The International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies; and GEC.

His work has included the design and delivery of organisational change programmes for the HR functions in the Royal Mail, BAE SYSTEMS and GEC. This involved developing and implementing new ways of working and creating development programmes to support the transition. In GEC Peter delivered the organisational integration of three ship yards and the change programme in a manufacturing business. In BAE SYSTEMS he developed the people strategy and implemented the leadership change element of it. In GEC he was responsible for business planning in it’s cable business and has worked with a range of management teams on the development of business plans and people strategy. In the Royal Mail, BAE SYSTEMS and the Red Cross he has been responsible for the design and delivery of Leadership development programmes. In the Red Cross this involved working with the Secretary General and his team on their leadership issues which included delivering a combination of facilitated workshops and individual coaching.

While Peter currently lives in Italy he has experience of working in a variety of countries including the UK; United States; Switzerland and Australia. He is a Geography graduate from Manchester University with a Post graduate diploma in Management, speaks basic (but fast improving) Italian and is a keen snowboarder and mountain biker.

Laura started working with ON THE MARK in 2003. As a senior consultant working with OTM primarily in the UK and Europe, she has been an integral project team member with OTM on the Royal Mail Group’s turnaround project and People and Organization Development Engagement along with BAE Systems organization design project.

On the “softer” side of change, she has been involved in running 360 degree feedback using Human Synergistics tools and internally-developed behavioral surveys. In addition to standard facilitation and change management skills, Laura has trained in NLP, Whole Brain Thinking and Process Consultancy. She is strongly influenced by socio-technical training and complexity theory and refuses to accept that changing organizations requires them to stop “business as usual”. Laura coaches graduate students as part of the London Business School.

She has consulted to a wide range of clients including: Interbrew; Astra; Glaxo Wellcome; Wyeth; Reuters; Royal & Sun Alliance; WorldCom; Cable & Wireless; Ericsson; Forensic Science Service; HM Prison Service; Ford Motor Company; Rabo Bank and Mothercare.

Laura speaks English, French and German fluently.

Steve is a senior systems thinking practioner and one of the three founding directors of Habanero Business Consulting. He has some 10 years experience as a consultant and more than 15 years as a project and programme manager. Steve has also been a senior IT manager giving him a powerful insight into what it is like to be an operational line manager. Steve has extensive experience of working in both the public and private sectors, spanning local government, manufacturing, retail, travel and finance. In his career he has worked for many high profile companies including:

Steve has helped many teams transform the operation of their services, resulting in improved customer services, reduced costs and improved team morale. Working with one team of IT professionals the work design was changed to involve the front line staff more in decision making and at a much earlier stage of the work cycle. Not only did performance improve, but sickness fell. A great result for the team, the customers and the senior management team.

More recently Steve has had the opportunity to develop his thinking around large scale organisational transformation, contributing to the development of systems thinking method. This has given him a real passion for continuing to improve the methods by which he helps his customers.

John C. Little, Jr. is the former City Manager of the City of Scottsdale, Arizona, an organization he served in increasingly responsible capacities during his 24 year tenure. He has extensive experience as a senior executive and department head having lead the Human Resources and Organizational Effectiveness Departments, Transportation and Downtown Development Office. As City Manager, he led an organization of 2,600 employees and was responsible for an annual operating and capital budget of nearly a billion dollars.

He remains the city's only two time honoree of the Bill Donaldson Award recognizing excellence in leadership, innovation, risk-taking, teamwork and community service. In addition, he was honored by the Scottsdale Area Association of Realtors as "Citizen of the Year" in 2006.

Little also has extensive experience in the private sector as an entrepreneur and business consultant specializing in organizational development, public policy analysis, strategic planning, leadership training, systems design and process improvement. Presently he assists a number of clients doing business in the following industries; commercial real estate, environment/green building, entertainment, tourism, sports, banking and finance. Additionally, he is a featured professional keynote speaker addressing the topics of leadership and trust.

Little continues to be actively involved in the community serving on non-profit boards, and volunteering his expertise to such local organizations as Arizona State University, Scottsdale Unified School District, Scottsdale Cultural Council, Alliance for Audience, the Scottsdale Area Association of Realtors and Scottsdale Leadership. He is in great demand as a professional consultant and public speaker maintaining a busy schedule working with citizen groups, service organizations, charitable groups and private business leaders. He continues his commitment to public service with active involvement on the Advisory Board of Scottsdale Leadership and as a member of the Scottsdale Charros a charitable organization that manages the spring training program for the San Francisco Giants.

John holds a degree in Urban Studies from the University of Minnesota and has completed Arizona State University's Advanced Public Executive Program.

Wilma’s career has included consulting at Board level as well as throughout operational services, bringing proven and grounded guidance on the transformation of operational performance and strategy realignment. This includes leadership coaching and mentoring across complex organizational systems and partnerships – in health services, public health and the wider public sector, using lean systems thinking to effect business transformation and policy and strategy development. Her key strength lies in her ability to build effective relationships of trust with key stakeholders and leaders to help them lead their organizations through the transformation process successfully.

Wilma cares deeply about helping leaders to succeed in transforming their organizations, delivering major measurable change and business improvement; including:

• 3 years experience of working with a large Business Process Outsourcing provider in the public/private sector to transform the organization using Lean systems thinking resulting in £60m of efficiencies.
• New approaches to the development and application of transformation methodologies, breaking new ground in the organization transformation market.
• Leadership development to effect transformation. Developing leaders’ thinking , challenging and helping them to develop a new competency set to lead transformation and continuous improvement.
• She has led a number of transformation programs – mainly in the public sector, from Breast Cancer Services, the Summary Justice System in Scotland as well as individual service areas in local government and the private sector such as Children’s Services, Learning Disabilities Services, Development Control and Waste Management.

Wilma holds a Masters Degree in Public Health from Manchester Metropolitan University, she is also a Registered General Nurse from Glasgow Royal Infirmary and has a Higher National Diploma in Business Studies from Bell College, Hamilton.

Megan Walters has over 14 years' experience in leadership, training and development, coaching and consulting with Fortune 500 companies, start-ups and individuals internationally. She has worked with Executives, teams and individuals in a broad range of industry sectors, including Information Technology, Energy, Insurance, Chemical, Healthcare and Manufacturing.

Megan has extensive experience working with diverse teams and cultures in North and South America, Europe and Africa. She understands the many performance challenges of teams in today's environment, and her passion is providing strategies, tools and techniques to effectively leverage change, accelerate performance and improve communication at all levels within organizations. She has helped organizations undergoing changes such as mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, implementing affirmative action programs and outsourcing. Her approach is honest, direct and practical, and designed to facilitate positive long-term change in communication effectiveness.

She has a degree in Organizational Psychology and is a Certified Trainer of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). She resides in London with her family.

Stu Winby is Founder and Executive Managing Partner of the Sapience Group – a strategy and organizational consulting firm - headquartered in the Silicon Valley. The firm has offices in Palo Alto, California and Atlanta, Georgia. Stu Winby has been both a corporate executive and external consultant and is considered a thought leader in his field of strategy-organization. He works with executives and senior teams in the areas of strategy - organization, change, and innovation management.

Recent projects have included Microsoft, Yahoo, Kimberly Clark, Alegent Health, Cisco, Proctor &Gamble, Motorola, Analog Devices, US Navy, and LA Power and Water. All current project sponsors are the CEO or C-level suite executives.

He has consulted in a wide variety of manufacturing and service industries, in the public sector, and in countries in the five major regions. Consulting has included companies in oil and gas, utilities, steel, automotive, aluminum and chemical, airlines, financial, aerospace, and electronic hi tech industries.

Prior to founding Sapience, Stu was for 12 years Executive Director / General Manager of Strategy, Organization and Change at HP, which included four practice area organizations: Business Strategy Innovation, Organization Architecture and Change, R&D Solutions Lab, and Product Generation Solutions. Prior to this position he managed HP’s Factory of the Future organization and played a key role in the company’s manufacturing strategy and council. His work at HP has been documented in numerous books, articles and professional journals. Several Harvard Business School Cases have been written on projects he has managed and consulted to, as well as numerous case studies documented by the Conference Board.

Ms. Winter is a seasoned and highly experienced organization development practitioner with a unique emphasis on corporate social responsibility. She is a master-level facilitator. She is the CEO and Principal of a certified, woman-owned enterprise (WBE) operating since 1989 serving private industry, non-profit (NGO) and public sector clients. Virginia has been working with OTM since the late 80’s on various projects.

Core competencies include: strategic planning, team and organizational learning, EHS strategy and systems, governance, corporate (social) responsibility, stakeholder engagement and sustainable business strategy advisement, change leadership and innovation.

Ms. Winter has extensive experience moderating strategic dialogue with senior-level leaders and decision-makers and is skilled at facilitating conversations to engage thought diversity and cross-functional expertise. She has a reputation as a skilled change agent regardless of whether the assignment involves long-range cultural change or short-run group development. She is frequently asked to custom design work agendas that foster meaningful engagement, collaborative decision-making or action planning integrating clear post-event accountability.

Ms. Winter has served a diversity of clients including Fortune 500 manufacturing and beverage companies, high-technology firms, health care corporations, world-class resorts and hotels, universities, foundations, trade associations, federal, state and municipal agencies, community coalitions and individual leaders.

Originally from the Adirondack Mountains of New York State, Ms. Winter resides in Colorado.

Leland Sandler is currently the managing partner of The Sandler Group, LLC, an executive coaching and management consulting firm. The Sandler Group is an international consulting group focused on executive coaching, leadership, and organizational design and effectiveness, and strategic planning.

She incorporates her 20 years of business knowledge with her belief in the human potential to help organizations, teams and individuals realize the possible.

Adrienne has worked collaboratively with leaders to deliver solutions on a wide range of organizational performance and effectiveness issues in a number of companies, including The Clorox Company, Flex Products, Hewlett Packard, and The Price Club (now Costco). Her capability and versatility in organization design, process design and improvement, strategic change, high performance coaching and leadership development have resulted in many successful assignments including…

• Designed and managed the change to a shared services model for the organization.
• Designed and led the implementation of a project management and governance process that facilitated the organization's capability to deliver projects on time, on budget, and in scope.
• Led the organizational readiness efforts for a major ERP implementation over multiple business units impacting 5000 employees and 1000 external parties throughout North America.
• Coached senior leaders and their teams to high performance using a variety of tools including 360 assessments and MBTI.
• Lead the organization redesign and change of manufacturing plants to self-directed teams in conjunction with the implementation of lean manufacturing process.

Previously, Adrienne founded Spirit Tree Consulting, an integral coaching practice offering organizational and individual coaching/consulting in the areas of professional development, leadership and team development, change capability and effectiveness. She is qualified in MBTI, certified in Six Seconds Emotional Intelligence Assessment (SEI) and received certification as an Integral coach through New Ventures West.

Adrienne’s interest in transformational change was set in motion early in life; however, her path was a little unorthodox. Graduating college with a BA in Cultural Anthropology gave her the skills of observation and exploration necessary to understand cultures and climates. Very early in her career she worked in the political arena, learning that influencing change is directly related to leadership and stakeholder alignment, and people’s involvement. She rose through the ranks of Price Club from hourly/union to management and then leadership development. She has an MA in Psychology and Organization Development. She sat on the Board of Directors for the Socio/Technical Systems Roundtable from 2005-2009, and has guest lectured with the University of Illinois, and the University of San Francisco. Adrienne currently resides in Oakland, California with her family.

Dennis Skinner is managing director of Many2one, a consulting, facilitation and leadership development company whose mission is to accelerate business improvement initiatives for large organizations. With over 25 years of leadership experience Dennis has deep expertise in problem solving, decision-making, process improvement, program management, strategic planning, organization design and leadership development.

After receiving his BSE in Industrial Engineering from Arizona State University, he spent 24 years with Intel Corporation, leading organizations in Manufacturing, Product Planning, Corporate Security, Internet Marketing, and Information Technology. In 2000, Dennis started up and led an internal consulting capability at Intel called the Accelerated Results Center (ARC), enabling organizations to solve persistent problems, plan large-scale programs, streamline processes, and re-design organizations through immersive facilitated workshops. Comprised of a team of full-time consultants and 5000 square feet of configurable offsite meeting space, the ARC was called out by The Wall Street Journal as a best practice for effective meetings and facilitation of business results.

Over the course of his career, Dennis has facilitated hundreds of workshops while building an impressive track record successfully leading business transformation initiatives affecting thousands of employees. Dennis left Intel in 2006 to launch Many2one, and continues to lead clients through a rigorous process to achieve complex, innovative, transformational business results in record time and with remarkable levels of commitment.

Grayce leads the Organization Development practice area for Prouty Project, specializing in leadership development; strategic planning; team effectiveness; change management; talent management and succession planning; performance management processes; and culture revitalization. She brings over seventeen years of strategic planning and organization development expertise in numerous industries as well as the nonprofit world. Grayce specializes in partnering with leaders to set strategy and drive alignment and execution.

Grayce is active in the Minneapolis / St. Paul community. She is the immediate past Chair on the Board of Trustees for the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota, Vice Chair on the M.A.P. for Nonprofits Board, and on the Board of Directors for Cultural Jambalaya. She has lived, worked and traveled in over 40 countries across the globe. Grayce holds a B.A. and an M.A. in English Literature and an M.B.A. with a concentration in marketing.
